Q: Shift from iphone 5s to 6s

How do I transfer all my apps, watsapp chats and notes from my old iphone5S to new iphone 6s? I did register the new phone with my apple id, got all my contacts on the new phone but not the apps.

backup old phone. restore that backup to new phone. easy. done.

You should be backing up your iPhone to your computer or iCloud regularly, and you should be storing everything on your computer.

Just restore your new iPhone from your last backup of your old iPhone

Did you follow the instructions in this support article?
Transfer content from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device - Apple Support

If apps are no longer available in the App Store, they will no longer download from iCloud. If you have them in your iTunes library, they should sync to the device. You provided no details as to what you did specifically, so we are not sure how you did whatever it is that you did.

First I took a back up of my iphone 5S on itunes (back up to computer), and then plugged in my iphone 6S and restored the backup. But it was showing an error again and again. It seems the problem was with my itunes software version.

However, I now successfully managed transferring all the apps and data.
