Hello, everyone.
I recently got a new 12inch Macbook (early 2015). Till now, every time I connected it with the charging cable for it to charge it would make this chime which is also made on iPhone and iPad. However, two days ago when I put it to charge, it wouldn't do the chime sound. The volume is up to the maximum.
I am starting to get worried because it might be a problem with the speakers.

There is a startup chime when first powering on the Macbook. But I have never heard on a chime when just plugging in the magsafe power cord. Is it also starting up when you do this? If you can play music in Itunes and hear it then the speakers are fine.
No, I can always hear the sound when the MacBook starts up. The sound I'm talking about is a sound only available on the new MacBook. It has a USB-C charger, not a MagSafe charger. So, when I connect the MacBook with the USB-C charger it makes this sound which is exactly the same sound heard when connecting an iPhone or iPad to power. But mine lately stopped making this sound. Yes, I can play music on iTunes.

The 12" MacBook doesn't have a Magsafe power cord, it has a USB-C cord, when you pug it in, the MacBook makes a sound similar to iPhones and iPads.
