Q: apple pencil stopped responding

Im having a similar problem. My iPad pro suddenly sais my apple pencil isn't certified and won't work with my iPad pro. Anybody got ideas on this?

Yep i'm having this exact same problem, tried it in 2 different ipad pros.

I Have the same problem.  Won't connect via Bluetooth etc.

In Bluetooth settings tap the I for info.  Tell the  iPad to forget your pencil.  Plug the pencil in again and you will get the opportunity to pair.

Apple is replacing mine.

I Had tried everything, rebooting, re-pairing, and nothing worked. Then I re-paired and removed the stylus tip and put it back on, and miraculously it started working again. Hope that helps someone.

I had the same problem.  Went to Apple store and while waiting for a tech, I starting fiddling with the Pencil and realized the tip was not on tight. I screwed it tight and had a miracle cure and a case of the feel stupids. 

I was dumbfounded as to why my pencil was not responding. Unscrewed the tip, put it back on, bingo! If all else fails,, try it.

MMine wasn't responding either. I checked the tip & it was loose. it worked again after tightening.

Ensure the tip of the pencil is fully threaded on.  If it comes lose, it can make it difficult to read the sensors inside.
