How to import .pst file (contacts) into new iPhone 6S?

I'm leaving my old work, and the IT guy sent me my outlook contacts in a .pst file for transfer into my Outlook contacts.

No idea what to do with the file now, i.e. how to successfully import into my outlook contacts across iCloud devices?

Help anyone?

You will have to convert the .pst file to a .vcard file in order for Contacts to import it. There are many .pst conversion utilities, use one of them.
