Q: iMac Wrong Characteres

Using a new numeric keyboard, typing on the keyboard enters different characters ( - => 9,  [ => o, " => l, and in the numeric side, enter => 2, + = 5, => 8 and * => =.). using USA International conf. I tried different keyboard and mouse, no change. Is there something I can do to fix the keyboard problem?
