Apple pencil stopped working after few days

Ok, apple pencil (a gorgeous device) worked very well till I turned on airplane mode on the iPad Pro. After switching off airplane mode the apple pencil didn't re-couple to the iPad Pro. Thinking that the battery needed to be recharged, I attached it to the iPad Pro lightening connector, but the pencil was not recognised prompting the related message on the iPad Pro. I called apple and a number of tests were done. Remotely a program was run on the iPad Pro showing that its hardware components, including bluetooth work fine. Finally apple recommended a complete reset of the iPad Pro to factory settings, that didn't help. It seems that the problem is in the apple pencil hardware. I wanted to share this experience since it might be helpful to others, but also to learn if anyone else experienced the same issue and has discovered alternative solutions.

You may have to take your Apple Pencil into your local Apple Store and have them replace it, either its not pairing to the iPad properly or the Apple Pencil is defective and needs to be replaced. As long as there is no physical damage shown on the pencil (ex. damage from dropping it) then you should be able to get a free replacement from Apple. Hope this helps!
