Q: iTunes issues with syncing over USB since Windows 10
Hi there, since I've upgraded my OS from Windows 7 pro to Windows 10 pro; I've been having sync issues with iTunes. These issues occur with all three of my toys: iPhone 5s, 3rd gen iPad and a newly acquired iPad Air 2. As you might guess, I am married to iTunes. I do all of my media management with iTunes and use it daily to sync new audio and video betwixt all my devices.
When I plug in my phone or tablet, the first sync usually works. Not always but most of the time. Subsequent attempts to sync the same device, usually by hitting the the 'apply' button, causes iTunes to freeze up. I then Have to kill iTunes via task manager and start over. Other times, when I hit the 'sync' button, i'll get 'Waiting for sync to start', but it never does. I can do two things to resolve this. 1, I can close iTunes, re-open and try the sync again. That usually works. 2, I can stop the sync - while its waiting - and then eject the device, plug it back in and try again. That works sometimes.
The frequency at which this issue is occurring is becoming frustrating. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix, I'd appreciate your comments.
