How can I add my iPhoto events to the Photos app again?

Is there a way to do this if I already have a Photos library app set up? is there a way to reset it so it prompts me to ask if i want to import my iPhotos events?

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Photos cannot merge libraries, but you can open as many libraries in Photos as you like.

To open your iPhoto Library in Photos drag the iPhoto Library onto the Photos icon in the Dock. This will create a new Photos library from it and open it in Photos.

See this help page on how to work with more than one Photos Library: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht6d60b524

no

You can export photos from iPhoto and import into Photos

YOu can start over migrating your current iPhoto library (this of course will con contain any thing you have added or modified using Photos since the original migration)

YOu can have multiple Photos libraries adn move photos between them using the paid version of PowerPhotos

Without more details we can lnly make guesses and suggestions

What is "it" and what are you planning on doing and how does this relate to your original question? Neither Photos nor iPhoto supports "combining" libraries.

Nothing you do in iPhoto has any effect on Photos - they are two separate programs with no connection

When you do a migration from iPhoto to Photos very little extra space is used - Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support

Please clarify your new question

If anyone else is trying to do this, don't. After trying several times to have the iPhoto library be imported into this library, i finally gave up and reverted back to the backup. However, now i can't get all my devices photo libraries to sync. so if anyone out there who reads this is thinking about trying this, DON'T! it isn't worth it.

Sorry but what exactly do you want - you were given several alternatives

Those are your options unless you provide more details
