Q: Phone touchscreen unresponsive

Daughter said phone fell out of pocket (about 2.5 feet). No external damage to phone and screen intact. Can power on but touchscreen totally unresponsive. Power n home button work. Screen display is not distorted. Can't get past sign in screen to get to serial number etc. Any options besides sending in for repair?

From your question, I understand that your daughter’s iPhone was dropped a short distance and doesn’t appear to have any cosmetic damage or screen distortion, but the display is no longer responding to touch.
