Q: Itunes Error - iTunes cannot connect to Store Purchases - If you have any firewall software, make sure it has been set to allow communication on port 443.

I'm having the same problem. It's really annoying. My Mac is still under warrenty, think I'll open a ticket too.

Saying the same as all Firewall issues

Updated the security patch on my updates too.

That is when mine started today when I updated a security patch and to 10.11.12

I had the same issue and I have not made any hardware or software changes.

I resolved it by updating my credit card info in iTunes. It was the same card but with a later expiration and a new security code.

Once I update expiration date and security code the error went away and now I can access the store.

My Bad, Problem came back. But I can access the store now but can not make purchases.

I have the same problem, after the security update 2015-005 I have this focking message every time I open iTunes.

I still can purchase but cannot watch any movie: black screen, no sound!

WHAT THE L IS GOING ON!!!

Please alert them through ITUNES support too.

Yeah I've got the same thing started about 7pm tonight really annoying keeps popping up

Don't know if this will help any or all others, but "Have you turned your computer off and back on again?" came to mind (thank you South Park...).  So, I did that - i.e. I closed all windows, shut down (unchecked reopen windows, even though none were open anymore), powered off the surge strip, waited a minute, powered up and logged in again, launched iTunes and, as they say, "Voila!", no more error message!  Just saying'...

and got this immediately    Has a case number  

Please take the time to do this too so they will get on this

I did it too and now I'm also asking a refund for all the movies I've previously purchased because when I click play the result is the same: black screen no sound!

I might have fixed it, at least for myself, by clicking on Store -> View Account and signing in.

i started to watch an itunes movie rental but it just plays a black screen.  ***** because if this issue isn't resolved within 24 hrs, i'll lose the rental.

Yeah, same problem here, black screen, you should contact the support immediately as I did.
