Q: Which Mac should I buy my mom for Christmas?

SO I'm running really broke this season and only have about $600 to spend, so I need to buy a refurbished model.

Spend a little more on a refurbished Mac so she will have a one year limited warranty provided by Apple > http://www.apple.com/shop/browse/home/specialdeals/mac/macbook_air

It's the same warranty that comes with a new Mac.

The MacBook in that link is a 6..1 that came out in 2009. Purchasing a refurbished Mac (not directly from Apple) is like throwing good money after bad.
