I have all of my photos on Aperture and would like to transfer to IPHOTO. But would like to keep all of my projects/folders in order versus starting over, any suggestions?

I'm confused? Do you mean Photos and not iPhoto? Because Aperture uses the iPhoto Library. If you mean iPhoto, then all you have to do is open the app. Unless I'm not understanding your question?

I have ran Aperture from an external Hard Drive. I have always updated the Aperture Library, but now only want to use if, but it does not have all of my latest pictures nor does it have all of my updated folders, therefore, want to closed down aperture and only use iPhoto

In either recent, what version of Aperture and the other app do you have?
If you have Aperture 3.3 or later and iPhoto 9.3 or later you can simply open your Aperture library in iPhoto, see this support document:
