Apple Watch Strap Gift Return

Hi there,

I received an Apple Watch Sport band as a gift from a friend. However, I already have the same colour. My friend no longer has the receipt but it hasn't been opened and the seal isn't even broken. Would I be able to return the band and exchange it for a different coloured Sport band?

I live in the UK btw (in case the returns policy is different in the UK than in the US)
