Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you reset the password to your Apple ID. Now it asks you for the password several times a day. I would recommend you read this article, it may be able to help troubleshoot the issue.
One thing you may want to try is signing out and signing back in with the Apple ID.
Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Cheers

I gave that a quick read and one thing it said is about it frequently asking for the password to the old apple ID. But neither me or my partner have changed our email address/Apple ID at all. My message just appeared randomly and the first time it did I changed my password thinking I might have changed it accidentally. But then the message kept reappearing at random times like when playing a game etc and I know for certain my password was correct/didn't need verification so I don't see why the message keeps reappearin.
