Will I lose Apple Watch Data if I Reset my iPhone?

Greetings,

I have bought iPhone 6s and want to sync Activity and Health history data to this new phone with no other data from my older iPhone. So, I deleted all my applications/data from the old iPhone. Now, I want to do a factory reset for the older iPhone so I can do a clean backup that contains Activity and Health history data only.

If I do the wipe the phone completely, will I lose Apple Watch Data?

Best regards,

Salah

iPhone 6, iOS 9.1

Hello Salah,

Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

Congratulations on your new iPhone! It looks like you're preparing to transfer data to the new device.

If you factory reset your iPhone, all data will be erased. I'd suggest un-pairing your Apple Watch from your old iPhone first, as mentioned in Transfer content from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device:

Before you begin

If you have an Apple Watch and you're about to move content to a new iPhone, you need to unpair your watch from your current iPhone first. Unpairing automatically backs up your Apple Watch. Now you're ready to set up your new iPhone. After that, you'll pair your Apple Watch with your new iPhone.

Since you've already deleted the other data and apps from your older iPhone, I'd recommend following the steps in Transfer content from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device after you un-pair the Watch. This will ensure the Activity and Health data is transferred to your new iPhone.

Cheers.
