    It doesn't happen by magic.

Perhaps if you tell us what you've tried, and whether you have ever managed to put music onto the iPod, we might be able to help. Without that, we're just guessing.

    1. Try playing the songs in iTunes. Do they play? If they do not, do you get a message saying that the song cannot be found?
    2. If the songs do play in iTunes, make sure they are selected to Sync with your device.
      1. For example, if you have the option to Sync only ticked songs and videos selected, then any song that is not ticked will not be added to the iPod.
      2. If you Sync selected playlists etc, have you actually selected those songs to be Synced?
      3. Where are you looking on your iPod for these missing songs? Perhaps they are listed somewhere else. For example, if some songs on an album have a guest artist listed in the artist name, then those songs will not be listed under the main artist. So If you go into the artist menu and look up the artist Taylor Swift, any songs listed as Taylor Swift feat. "a guest artist" will not be listed under Taylor Swift.
