I have finished multiple jobs using Multipressor and in my opinion it is a nice finishing touch to my mixes. I am ready to invest in some dynamics plugins to put better icing on the cake. I have seen the UAD's, OZONE, etc... Since I haven't used any of them I ask you guys,
Any recommendations on something that will make a huge difference in glueing my mixes together?

Universal Audio's UAD-1 card remains, for me, the best plugin suite I've ever used. And I don't even have any of the newer plugins, which are also apparently really good. I love love love the LA2A, 1176LN, Fairchild, Cambridge EQ, Pultec and others.

Failing that, then for native AU, look at PSP, Sonalksis, Waves, Metric Halo, and if you search, you'll also find loads of threads with people recommending plugins and why.

Ultimately, it comes down to your tastes and requirements...

while talking UAD, I really like the precision limiter you can get for it. it's a very good mastering limiter IMHO especially at the price, I prefer for a lot of things over the waves L1, L2 etc..

as with everything though, it's good to build up an arsenal of quality processors with their own strengths and character. as you get to know them, you'll know what to use or at least what to try for the various different mixes you are dealing with.

well I think he's just wondering how stable the UAD card/plug ins are and whether they have had buggy releases that cause crashed etc.

in my experience, the UAD has been one of the more stable things I have ever used, I don't think I've ever seen a crash. there are problems however, related to the reduced performance you can depending on what G5 model you have and what PCI controller it happens to have.

all in all, the UAD is easy to recommend. but I have to say, despite being a fan of it over the years and still thinking it's great, you'd have to check out the focusrite liquid mix as well because that thing seems to offer a whole lot more for the money.
