Dec 6, 2015 9:26 AM in response to smellcoffeeby babowa,Unfortunately, we are all users here just like you and do not know if/what Apple may be planning in the future; as well, we are not allowed to speculate on any Apple decisions.
As for providing parental control, I am not sure if there is a way to control your kids' iDevices; hopefully someone will chime in with an answer (I am not familiar enough with my iPad as I only use it to read and do not sync or share anything). In the meantime, see if this is of any help:

I was actually referring specifically to what that link has to say...
If you need privacy, you can stop sharing your device locations with individual family members.
As I said,
... so that my kids, kid's friends, thief or abductor can't turn off their device's location sharing without parental/ Admin consent.
