Carbon Copy Cloner doesn't delete on backup drive what I delete on main drive

I noticed that Carbon Copy Cloner doesn't delete folders and images you delete on your main drive.

This way you keep things you don't want on your backup drive and makes it full quicker.

How can I get Carbon Copy Cloner to keep the backup drive and the main drive exactly the same - also to delete files that I delete on the main drive.

This way your backup drive gets full much faster (even if you delete the timemachine style deleted backups)

By default, SafetyNet protects root-level items that are unique to the destination. So if the items in question were at the root of the destination, the "Protect root-level items" setting is what's causing those items to be protected:

That setting is on by default when SafetyNet is on, but you can decouple it from SafetyNet using advanced settings.

If the items in question were not unique to the root-level of the destination, then something else is going on. In some cases (e.g. when CCC has detected media problems on the source or destination), CCC will suspend deletions and archives as a safety precaution. In any case, choose "Report a problem" from CCC's Help menu, we're happy to help you get it sorted out.
