Internal Optical Drive not working on MacBook Pro Mid 2012 Non Retina
So I know that there are many threads about this topic but I just can't find one for my problem. Here it is,
I have a MacBook Pro 13 Inch Mid-2012 Non Retina. It has the Max 8GB of RAM and i7 processor. The Hard Drive is 750GB. The computer also has an Internal Optical Drive. I can insert and eject DVDs and CDs but when I put them in the drive makes a loud and unusual whirring or buzzing noise, not the normal silence, and it gets louder and faster than slower and quieter like the DVD or CD is going to eject except it doesn't. This can go on forever unless I hold down the eject button on the keyboard. The DVD is not scratched when I take it out and the drive has only worked one time out of the last couple of times I have tried to use it. Do I need to take it to the Apple Store to get something fixed or replaced or what? I don't want to do the fix at home if the fix can be done that way only so I don't mess up the computer. What is the easiest thing to do and is anyone else having this problem?
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
