Current Mac laptops do not have ethernet ports, I need an ethernet port and will buy but want from Apple can I order?

According to everymac.com, the last MacBook Pro that shipped with a built-in Ethernet port was the 15" MacBook Pro 9,1 (Mid 2012 model). These are no longer available as refurbished units from Apple.
Most Later models can connect to 10/100 Ethernet with the US$29 USB-to-Ethernet adapter, or to Gigabit (and 100 and 10) networks with the US$29 ThunderBolt-to-Ethernet adapter.
The 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro is still in the line and has a Gigabit ethernet port as well as Firewire 800, USB3, and a real optical drive. You can also open them easily to add RAM (up to 16GB) without voiding the warranty.

We have two of this model and they are reliable and rock-solid little computers. IMHO it is a lot of value for the money.
Agreed. Still incredible laptops for what you get. I got mine last July when BestBuy had it's Cyber Monday sale. Over priced at what Apple sells for at full price so I would go refurbished to wait for a good sale. I upgraded mine to 16GB RAM for $71 at Amazon.
I strongly urge you to look at the current line up of retina MacBook Pro and MacBook Air computers. With a relatively inexpensive dongle you can connect to ethternet. The MacBookPro model with built in Ethernet is very old technology - basically 3 years old. I think Apple keeps it around simply because some people insist on having a built in optical drive.
I needed Ethernet at one work location when our WiFi was being ripped out and replaced last year. I bought an inexpensive USB dongle and I was quite pleased at how well it performed and how little impact it had on my battery usage.
Need a newer Mac laptop with an ethernet input does apple sell refurbished?
