Macintosh will not reinstall.

I followed all the steps for the reinstall for Macintosh HD, I then sign into my Apple account but it says "This item is unavailable try again later." I waited an hour and the same thing popped up. So I waited two weeks and just tried to reinstall again, but it said the same thing. Is this fixable if so what can I do? Or should I just get another computer?

If you haven't erased the hard drive, go to the App Store Purchases tab and download the installer. You can make a bootable USB stick to install using this free program which will do all the work for you. If you have erased the hard drive, if you have access to another Mac, sign into the App Store with your Apple ID and then download from there.
