magic mouse disconnecting after el capitan

Ever since I upgraded to El Capitan, and even after adding brand new batteries, my magic mouse disconnects every few minutes from the system. It's super annoying! Anyone have a fix?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

What brand of new batteries are you using? Does the the little green light above the switch glow consistently, as opposed to flickering. You may have interference in the vicinity, check out these documents.
