Q: iTunes (Apple ID) account is disabled

My family sharing plan shows my son as a member, but the Family purchases: ****@mac.com needs to be changed to HIS Apple ID account. When he logs into his iPod by going to the family sharing and confirming his account to share purchases, he gets an error saying his Apple ID has been disabled. He also cannot download any updates to his purchases.
