Q: Update iTunes Match Missing

So I subscribe to iTunes Match and start the sync process.  Many hours later I find it crashed my entire Mac.  I reboot and now, the "Update iTunes Match" option under "Store" in the menu bar is missing.  Going to iTunes Prefs and then General.  I try to deselect the "iCloud Music Library" box to turn it off so that I can turn it back on as stated in an Apple FAQ.  Naturally this just crashes iTunes so I can't deselect it.  Any suggestions please?

Thanks!  Jim

As it says in this article, go to iTunes > Preferences from iTunes' menu.  Turn off iTunes Music Library.  Then turn it back on.

Thanks but unfortunately when I do that, I get the beach ball and iTunes crashes.  I did manage to get the job done by going to "File/Library/Then something about scanning the library so I'm fine now, but I'm still perplexed as to why "iTunes Match" is no longer under "Store" in the menu bar or why turning iTunes Match off in the preferences causes a crash.  Could it be because I have 35,000 tracks in iTunes and about half of those didn't match?  Thanks
