Notification sounds won't mute?

Notification sounds won't mute?

I went to "Settings>Sounds" and tried to mute my notification sounds by sliding the top button all the way to the minimum so that every sound could be muted. But it's not working! The button keeps sliding to the lowest volume right after mute as if it were by magic. I also tried to reset all of my settings; didn't work. I tried to reset my iPod by holding the lock screen and the home button; still nothing. Is there any way I could fully mute all of my notification sounds?

I've done that step with all of my apps, but the screenshot clicks and the ringtone are still audible. How can I mute those?

Silence your alerts. Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb. You can also use Siri to turn Do Not Disturb on or off. Say “Turn on Do Not Disturb” or “Turn off Do Not Disturb.”

Open System Preferences > Notifications

As an example select Facebook on the left then deselect: Play sound for notifications
