Family Sharing with Ask to Buy nightmare: child asked for credit card security code

I finally got Family Sharing with Ask to Buy working for my daughter (what a nightmare; why can't I just put some credit on her account??). She picked a song and I got a notification, which I accepted. But now it's asking her for my credit card security code, saying that it's being accessed from a new device. Why? I already approved the purchase on my device! She's not home until tomorrow and I'm not texting her the code for my credit card. Is there any way around this bug? (This is just really poor user experience. Why make it so hard to take my money?)

Rjulius,

Credit can be added to her account by her redeeming an iTunes gift card.

Ask To Buy can be active or not, as selected by the Family Organizer, which I gather is you.
