Shift option K has gone away, where's the Apple Logo ̊̊̊

I have been using the keyboard command shift + option + K to type the Apple Logo... 

I had to paste it this time because -

Today s+o+K makes a circle dot like a tiny degree sign above the last character typed̊.

And it keeps stacking them on top of one another...̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊ up into the line(s) above̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊̊
