Does anyone know where to find the CD for Apple G3 OS 9.0.4 to install Canon 2100 printer software?
Is there a vintage Mac library for such things?
I've used the Chooser, but I get 'BJC- 2100 Error 0308' and 'Printer not found'. This is a Summer 2000 Apple G3 OS 9.0.4.

Not sure whether this helps, but have you tried to download a driver from the Canon support site for your country? For example, http://www.usa.canon.com/ -> Support -> DRIVERS & DOWNLOADS -> Enter "BJC-2100 Series" and click "Get Drivers & Downloads" -> Choose "Mac OS 9" from an "Operating System" menu and click "Drivers" (the result should be a "BJC-2100 v3.42 Printer Driver for Mac OS 8.1 - 9.1", which can be selected).
Hello Jan, I just did what you suggested, and the message for the BJC-2100 Series is "There is no recommended download for the OS version you selected." This computer is not online anyway, but I thought maybe they had a CD alternative. Earlier, I searched the Canon website and they no longer support that model.
Nonetheless, your response is helpful and appreciated. What I need is to locate is an original CD that someone has in a box somewhere and doesn't need. Wouldn't a Lending Library for such vintage items be great!?

Yes, I originally saw the same message (the USA site/link above). It said "Recommended Downloads" on the left hand side. When "Drivers" then was clicked, it showed a Select button for the file mentioned earlier (I did not continue with the actual download, though). Make sure that you have chosen "Mac OS 9" under "Operating Systems" as well. However, different local web sites may or may not have anything to offer.
If you find an appropriate file, it should be possible to download it using another computer. Do not alter/decode/decompress the file yet. You could then transfer the file to the destination computer on a USB flash drive or a CD-R, and finally carry out the decoding/decompression (StuffIt Expander).
