Q: Viewer has shrunk in Photobook mode

In Split view, I can now only see about 60-70% of my double page spread in the Viewer. How can I correct this?  I must have hit a wrong key combination that changed the preferences.  I had also inadvertently slid the Browser onto a vertical mode, but I was able to get it moved back on the horizontal and below the Viewer. Please help.

Try to drag the dividing line between the viewer and the pages pane to the left to enlarge the Viewer.

Hi Leonie, and tanks for responding.  This does not work.  As you can seen from screen capture 1, the Browser window is currently too big horizontally in order to see the entire spread in the Viewer.  When I move the dividing line between Viewer and Browser, the Viewer content shifts to the right (002.jpg and 003.jpg) and goes off screen.  How can I dump the incorrect Aperture preference file?

The Aperture preferences file is now in the Containers folder in the user library.

    Try this:

    • Quit Aperture if it is running.
    • Then open your User Library and remove the complete folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/
    • and the file   ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist

Your user library may still be hidden. To reveal the hidden User Library:

    • Bring the Finder forward by clicking on the Desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
    • Select your user/home folder (with the house icon in the Finder sidebar)
    • With that Finder window as the front window, press the key combination ⌘J to bring up the View options.
    • In the View options panel enable ’Show Library Folder’. That will make your user library folder visible in your Home folder.
    • Open your Home folder, then the Library folder, then Containers.
    • Move the complete folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture to your desktop. Move the entire folder, not just the contents.
    • Remove   ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist as well.

Now restart the Mac, launch Aperture  and try again to view your book.  If all is well, delete the folder from the Desktop.

Hi Leonie. That worked like a charm.  What had gone missing were the controls at the bottom right of the Tool strip showing: Scale to Fit; 100% and slider. That had disappeared n my workspace.  Thanks so much.

    You're welcome.

Great that dumping the preferences brought the controls back!

It worked perfectly after removing the Preferences. Thank you for your sound advice.  I believe I corrected a spelling mistake in my second post and it reappeared in the string.  Sorry about the confusion.

No problem   We have been cross posting.  I saw your next post directly after I posted my question and could edit it.
