Q: nikon wireless mobile utility and iPad Pro

Is anyone else having problems with getting the wifi connection between your nikon camera and the iPad?  I have a nikon camera that have built in wifi and an iPad Pro.  I downloaded the wireless mobile utility; the iPad recognizes the wireless signal from the camera but the two devices won't connect.  It works fine with my iPhone, but not the iPad.  As far as I can tell there's only one version of the wireless utility app and from what I've read it should work on both iPhones and iPads.

iPad, iOS 9.1

    HI there lsumba99,

It sounds like the software app to connect your iPad and Nikon camera via Wi-Fi isn't working correctly but it does on your phone. I would start by quitting that app as well as your Settings app:

Force an app to close in iOS
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201330

    1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
    2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
    3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559

If that doesn't work then I would use these steps specifically from the following article:

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201398

Check for iOS and app updates

    1. Make sure that you're using latest version of iOS.
    2. Open the App Store and tap Updates.
    3. If updates are available, tap Update All.
    4. If asked, enter your Apple ID password.

You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.

    Delete and reinstall the app

    1. Tap and hold the app until it jiggles.
    2. Tap the   on the app.
    3. Press the Home button.
    4. Go to the App Store and download the app again.
    5. Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.

    Contact the app developer

If you see this issue again, contact the app developer for help:

    1. Find the app in the App Store.
    2. Tap the app, then tap Reviews.
    3. Underneath App Store Customer Reviews, tap App Support.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
