Q: music missing from iphone

All my music seems to have disappeared from my iphone. I tried syncing from my mac, and that is not working either.  As long as I'm connected to Wifi, it's there.  But if I click on the "only offline music' button, there is only 1 song there.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7163823 - If you have signed up for Apple Music or iTunes Match you won't have the option to manually manage or sync music to a device in iTunes. Music syncing is done through iCloud and all your eligible music should appear there. Movies can still be synced.

Actually, turns out none of these suggestions were able to fix the problem.  I also have the same  music library downloaded on another phone, and the music is still there and I'm able to listen off line.

I had signed up for a trial of Apple Music back in Sept but this problem did not start until just a few days ago.  I'm not keeping Apple Music because apparently it does me no good if I want to listen to music off line.

    Any other suggestions.

So I had this issue, too, and it just recently popped up. I figured out the other day how to fix it (for me, at least...someone else told me it's not working for them). On your phone, when you open the music app, click on the little profile button on the top left corner of your screen. If you are signed in on that screen, click "sign out." Bam...all your music is back and available to listen to without wi-fi! If that doesn't fix it on it's on, try clicking on "songs" or "artists" or "albums" in the drop down and make sure the "Only downloaded music" button isn't switched on. You've probably already done that, though.
