I have a mac book pro. It will not let me open "about this Mac" and when I try to open safari I get an error message that reads "WebKit encountered an internal error" (WebKitErrorDomai:300). any fixes?

Restart in safe Mode (hold down shift at startup). This spends five minutes running the equivalent of Disk Utility (Repair Disk) while showing a progress bar, then demands your userid and password to continue, even if you normally auto-login.

Screen re-draw will be slow because few kernel extensions (and NO third-party extensions) are loaded.

If it works fine in Safe Mode, but not in regular mode, you added too much junk and it is interfering with normal operation of Mac OS X.

If it does not work in Safe Mode either, you may need a Mac OS X Re-Install.
