Q: phone shows no cellular data and now will not update ios

woke up this morning and my phone indicated searching and when I tried to use it a comment came up that said no cellular data (everyone else in the families phones are working fine).  I tried to then update my os to see if that would resolve the situation and on my phone it indicated that there was an error.  I connected the phone to the computer to attempt to update and again it indicated that there was an error.  Any advice
