How do I make a Quicktime movie go to a URL?

I made a short movie in FinalCut HD and then created a QuickTime movie. I want to export it from QuickTime and have a URL either automatically opened after the movie or at least make a link out of the last image so they can click on it.

This surely is a simple thing, I just don't know how to do it. Am I supposed to use the "QuickTime Media Link" option?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is something that is relatively easy to do. As to whether or not you embed the instructions in a web page or use a QuickTime Media Link is simply a matter of choice. I generally prefer the QTL file when sending a video clip intro to family members which is followed by a DotMac account slide show and don't want to take the time to create an HTML page and publish it to the site.

The QTL file process is really quite simple if you have QT Pro:
1) Add/create "Click Instruction" frame at end of your movie
2) Upload your movie clip to your server
3) Open the uploaded file in the QT Player using the "Open URL" File menu option and allow it to cache to your computer
4) When cached, select the "Movie to QuickTime Media Link" option in the "File > Export" menu
5) Enter options as desired but do not close the movie automatically as instructions frame will disappear
6) When frame is clicked, default browser will open/jump to HRef URL entered in step 5 above
7) Distribute (send/post) the QTL file as you wish

Made a sample file but as you did not post an E-mail address, could not forward it to you. You can either download the example file "967704.qtl" file via my Public DotMac page (jrwalker4) or access it Here. If you download the file manually from my account, simple double-click on it to begin. If you use the URL link, depending on your browser and settings, the file will automatically download to your default area and begin to play, ask you what to do with the file, or download the file automatically but not open it. Hope this helps.
