NEED HELP -Serial #, password

My hard drive crashed and I purchased a new computer (not a MAC this time - couldn't afford it). I have an airport express wireless router. I don't remember the password so I'm trying to reset it but I can't do that without the password. I logged on to the Mac website and tried to connect with their support (what a joke) staff but I need the serial number on my airport express to do so. The website says serial numbers are located on a gray strip on the bottom of the products. Not on this product. I can't find the serial number through Airport Utility without my password. Hating Apple with a passion right now. The airport express is only e months old and wasn't cheap and I'm not in a position to replace it. Can anyone help?
