Music with ios9 problem

When i first got ios9 all the music i ever bought was on my phone. I finally found the option to only show offline music which helped. Still, there are some songs i no longer was downloaded but want to keep in my cloud. Past the offline music point i can only find a delete purchase option which no longer keeps it in the cloud on your phone which i do not want. I found a button under each song that say remove download, but nothing happens when i click it. If anyone can help that would be great! Thanks!

Howdy jilljill99,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you would like to delete some music off your iPhone but want to keep that music in the cloud.

Please see this article for how to delete music and other content.

Delete music, movies, apps, and other content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Remove songs, albums, or playlists from the Music app

  1. Tap the More Options icon User uploaded file on the right side of the screen.
  2. Tap Delete.
    User uploaded file
  3. When prompted, tap Delete Song to confirm.

If you’re an Apple Music member or iTunes Match subscriber, removing music from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch also removes it from your iCloud Music Library. If you delete music on one device, it also deletes from your other devices. Learn how to delete media from your iCloud Music Library.

If that's not what you desire, please let us know.
