That depends on when you purchased your MacBook Pro on if you need to purchase Pages. Let's take a look at what your options are.
When you first purchased your MacBook Pro and if it was recent, you would have to open the Mac App Store to accept the applications so that they would be tied to your Apple ID. IF you purchased your Mac after October 2014 that should have been the case. You also might need to apple for the Up-To-date program to get them noticed in the Mac App Store. If you purchased your MacBook Pro before October 2014, then you will need to purchase Pages.
