Q: When launching Photos, I get message "Photos quit unexpectedly"

I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 on an iMac. I've tried rebooting several times, and every time I try to launch Photos I get the message "Photos quit unexpectedly" with the options Ignore, Report..., Reopen. Nothing happens when I try to Reopen. This may be related to the fact that I'm trying to share this Mac with four other family members. I recently moved my music and iTunes folder so it could be accessed by everyone from their own iTunes account. Since I didn't do anything with Photos I don't see why this would be a problem, but I would eventually like to also share Photos with everyone. Please let me know of any ideas. Thanks.

    Good day markccccc,

I see you are a new user here in Apple Support Communities - welcome! I hope we find you contributing often in the future.

It sounds like you are unable to launch Photos on your iMac, and it quits unexpectedly when you try. Is that correct?

I would suggest that you attempt to repair the Photos library, using the steps in this article - Use the Photos library repair tool.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Safe computing.
