Q: Mavericks not working when logging in after time machine restore MacBook Pro

hello,

i have an issue with my Mac, I had to restore from time machine because I had an issue when the system wouldn't start after the system file was removed. What happened after that was I got my time machine which successfully restored but now once I log in I get that uno-like skip logo with grey background and spinning gear. I have no idea what that means. That happens when I try to login.  Please take s look at attachment. I'd like advice on how I can fix it. Thank you!image.jpegI tried two different time machine restore point I am still unable to get into my Macbook Pro. It's running Mavericks.

    Hey Koval88,

If I understand correctly, the computer is booting to a prohibitory screen and won't go past it. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend you read these articles, they may be able to help troubleshoot the issue.

Since you have a backup of your data, you can try to erase and install a fresh version of OS X then once there restore from Time Machine.

How to reinstall OS X on your Mac - Apple Support

About the screens you see when your Mac starts up - Apple Support

    Prohibitory symbol

When you see a circle with a slash symbol instead of the Apple logo, it means your Mac couldn't find a valid System Folder to start up from.

If you're using your Mac at a school or business, it might be trying to start from the wrong version of OS X. Contact your IT department for more help.

If this is your personal Mac, try reinstalling OS X by using OS X Recovery.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a good one.
