Q: Apple TV 4 and iTunes play count

Apple TV 4 doesn't update play count in iTunes library.  Despite the fact that the box is checked for home sharing computers and devices to update play counts in iTunes preferences, nothing played from iTunes library on Apple TV 4 appears in Recently Played Playlist.  All other home sharing devices and computers update play counts, however, Apple TV 4 does not. OS X, iTunes, and Apple TV all have the most recent updates.
