Q: Apple TV 4th generation- Unable to get Facetime in landscape mode on my Samung TV

Apple TV 4th gen TV OS 9.1

When I am doing Facetime from my phone and Ipad and started airplay onto my Samsung TV I am unable to get the Facetime in Landscape mode or Full screen when I rotate Facetime horizontally.

Only it shows vertical - on left and right side of screen I see black marks. Is this a bug in the software ?

landscape mode works fine on my iphone and ipad.
Once I start airplay landscape mode doesnt work on Apple TV

Weird. I use FaceTime in landscape all the time. I set the iPad next to my tv and then my kids can play and Grammy can watch. I set up FaceTime call then just AirPlay to the ATV and were set. I don't have to do anything. I have iPad air2 and ATV 3&4

I think it has to be a bug in the software. All we can do is make a lot of noise until Apple fixes it. Until then, you can use other video calling apps to mirror, such as ooVoo. http://www.gantryworks.com/pages/how-to-video-call-with-apple-tv

On my ipad it works fine, on the iphone 6s it does not.
