Q: Aperture

Hi, I have Aperture library with ref. files and i want to also check out photos but keep aperture. If I make a photos library, will it create and separate library? I ask this as my Aperture library is over 100gb and i only have 95gb left on hd.

You can create a new Photos Library, if you hold down the options key while launching Photos. The dialog will allow you create a new library.

But if you migrate the Aperture library to Photos it will not need much additional storage.
Photos will create a separate library, but use hard links to the previews in the Aperture library and it will reference the referenced files in Aperture. See: Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support
