I have got problems to use a Dymo Labelprinter PNP with my Mac Book Pro under OS X El Captain 10.11.2
It moves out the labels but no letters printed. With the same Operating System on my I Mac it works perfectly!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the label printer?
Well I did. Does not change anything. To explain more details.
The printer is shown as a device on my desktop while connected.
After installing the software from the device and open the software it shows "no device conected"
But if I do not install the software and open it straight from the device it works but does not print
any letters to the label. It just spit out the label. 😉

Have you recently updated to El Capitan? I take it that the printer is connected by USB? Can it be configured in system preferences , print and fax? Have you updated the driver for it. I went to their website ,but I don't know what model you have. All I got from it was that for most of them the latest driver was v 8.5.2.

Yes I have recently updated to El Captain and the printer is a LM PNP and connected by USB. It can not be configured in system preferences
and if I push the button + for adding a printer it does not show up. The version is Dymo Label Light 1.1.0.199 and it does not find any updates.
But like I said: The software and System is the same on my I Mac and there it works. My guess is that it has something to do with the power supply
but that is just a guess. The device has no seperate cable for power and it is just supplied via USB.
The USB on the Imac and the Macbook Pro put out the same power. You could try a pram reset in case it's a USB problem. Command/Option/P/R keys and power button for three chimes.

I did try the reset and even after reinstalling EL Captain no changes. I think I will contact the support of Apple
and see what options they have in mind. Since the printer is working with another computer it seems to be a
problem with my Mac book. I will keep you updated! Many thanks for your time
OK solved. The software delivered with the device does not work with the mac book pro Retina.
Like you mentioned before I had to go to the US website of dymo and download the Version 8.5.2.95
of Dymo Label Manager. Now it works. Many thanks for your help
