My iMac iOS 10.9.5 won't let me install a MacOS Quark update that I downloaded from quark.com. It says The QuarkXPress installer can't be opened because it's from an unidentified developer. I have Quark 8.02 and need to install the 8.5 update. How do I install this Quark update?
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Hi Cheddar,
QuarkXPress 8 was released in 2008. Since then Apple has changed the keys necessary for GateKeeper several times.
Please continue as suggested by MrHoffman, right click the installer and choose "open" and confirm the exception.
Please note that QuarkXPress 8 is not supported under OS X 10.9.5 though. However, it should run ok with minor flaws.
Thanks
Matthias
