Ipad Mini music server..music located on separate NAS

Hi,

I have an IPAD Mini and my music resides on a Seagate Central NAS on my home network. While I can play the music using

the Seagate Media App from the Ipad Mini the interface / presentation etc is poor...so I am wondering are there any music player

apps that display the music library and are user friendy like jriver or even itunes itself that can see the files on the NAS from the Ipad Mini?

Thanks

iPad Mini, iOS 9.2

Hello steve3174,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you media is on an external Seagate NAS and you would like to be able to access that music on your iPad. One option to accomplish this is Home Sharing. I would suggest reading the following article for information on Home Sharing to see if it will meet your needs.

Thanks Joe,

I wanted to be able to use just the iPad and NAS and Bluetooth speaker to play ALAC files from the NAS.

At present I can play from the iPad / NAS to the Bluetooth speaker using the Seagate Media app or an app called PlayerExtreme but their presentation / user friendliness is not good (in my opinion).

While I can use a PC also with jRiver or iTunes I was hoping to not have to use a PC and just the iPad / NAS/Bluetooth Speaker if possible but have a well presented music player.
