Q: Will the apps on 3rd gen ATV work on the new one?

Hi!

I'm considering buying the new ATV but I wonder if the apps that I have on my old one (3rd gen) will work on the new one?

No they won't (there's no way to move apps from a 3rd/2nd gen ATV anyway). Apps for the 4th gen model must be written/rewritten from scratch. Fortunately many/most of the apps that came standard with the previous ATV are already available in the 4th gen app store.
