Q: Microphone does not working well when recording video
For past few months, my phone had this kind of problem whenever I wanted to record a video. The audio in the recorded video cannot be heard clearly, even with the loudest volume. It has some bothering sound like sound of wind even though I am far from any wind source like fan or else during the recording. At first I thought it was some problems related to earphone; probably I had unplugged it the wrong way. But after trying a few times, the result is still the same. When I tried to record audio using Voice Memos, the audio is successfully can be heard. This problem only occur when recording a video. Please help me.

Hi afiqahroshidi,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It looks like your iPhone doesn't record clear audio along with your videos. It seems like you've identified that the bottom microphone (used to record voice memos) is working, according to Get help with the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Next, try the following steps, which come from the link above.
If audio from video recordings sounds faint, or Siri can’t hear you, make sure that the microphone near the iSight camera—on the top, back corner of your iPhone—and the receiver isn’t blocked or covered.
If the microphone and receiver are not blocked:

If you still have issues after testing the microphone on your device, try these steps:
- Unplug any accessory plugged into the headset jack.
- Avoid blocking the microphone and iSight mic with your fingers while holding the device or recording video.
- Remove screen protectors, films, or cases that cover the microphone, iSight mic, or iPhone receiver.
- Clear any debris from the microphones or iPhone receiver. Refer to the user guide for your device on microphone locations.
- Restart your device.
- Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.
If you've tried these steps and people still can't hear you on phone or FaceTime calls, or Siri doesn’t hear your requests, contact Apple Support.
Best Regards.
