Dec 21, 2015 1:20 PM in response to tysonrbby INGLESRA,I have also had this problem too. It has completely used all the available memory on both my Ipad Air and my IPhone 5C. On my phone it used up 16GB of my 20GB monthly allowance in 1 day downloading as many songs as it could. When I now go into the little menu at the top left of ITunes on my Windows 10 PC, I can see Itunes match but the menu is greyed out.

Dec 23, 2015 6:50 PM in response to ronridesabmwby ronridesabmw,TOday, Dec. 23 I heard back from Apple. I was advised " Thank you for all your patience, i did want to give you an update and let you know i am still working on this issue with engineering in regards to how we can get this resolved for you however we haven’t narrowed it down just yet, i appreciate you sticking with me on this. " It was good to be advised that Apple is working on a remedy. I will post when I hear more.

Dec 23, 2015 6:58 PM in response to ronridesabmwby bluehz,I also received an email from Apple today regarding the official bug report I submitted on this. They asked "...if I had a "Recently Added" smart playlist (which I did have) and also asked for me to generate a sysdiagnose report and submit it - which I did do. Unfortunately it also stated all work would be shut down until Jan 4 for the Holidays.
On a whim I deleted all my smart playlists relating to recently added, etc, but nothing had any effect - still filled up with new items.

Dec 23, 2015 9:32 PM in response to ronridesabmwby INGLESRA,HI, this info is much appreciated. I hope they also offer some compensation for the fact we've been paying for a facility we can't use. I'm not renewing till they resolve the issue.

Dec 25, 2015 1:50 PM in response to tysonrbby TommesthePommes, same problem here, download of songs cost me money because i am not on an unlimited plan.
In my opinion Apple really is not what it used to be. I find bugs on a daily basis on both OS and IOS...That didn't happen when Jobs was still controlling the products

Dec 26, 2015 1:07 PM in response to Kemp Mill Gunnerby INGLESRA,I Turned off using Music on mobile data. I then changed my music folder in iTunes to one with no music in it and am using Amazon Music which uses my original iTunes media folder to store my music in. I'll swap back if and when they sort it out, which one of the replies on here suggested would be Jan 2016

Dec 26, 2015 1:24 PM in response to tysonrbby edjferg70,Same thing is happening to me. Started out of the blue a few days ago. I have messed with this all day to see if there is any way to stop it and there isn't. I completely removed iTunes Match off every computer and mobile device, disassociated all my devices, removed my library, starting with a clean slate. I add one artist with several albums and associate one extra computer and my iPhone. The artist's links and artwork show up on each device; everything is fine. Add one more band, and suddenly my iPhone starts downloading every track in the library again. The only way to stop is to turn off iCloud Music library, disassociate the device and try to cancel the downloads the device already started.

Dec 26, 2015 1:37 PM in response to Kemp Mill Gunnerby TommesthePommes,I turned my music off cellular data, at home it kept downloading all the time, I deleted all the songs and canceled the Downloads about 10 times, now it finally stopped, maybe it downloaded all of the new songs already?

Dec 26, 2015 1:57 PM in response to TommesthePommesby edjferg70,I've gone through that several times in the last few days. I'll spend 1/2 hour trying to cancel all the downloads and turn everything off. But it will somehow start doing it all over again.

Dec 26, 2015 2:53 PM in response to edjferg70by ronridesabmw,THe only way that I was able to stop the downloads was to turn off cellular and wifi, delete the downloads, turn the iPad of then back on, in the settings for Music turn the iCloud Music Library off. Once I had to do a rest to the original factory settings and install a recent backup. Good luck.

Dec 26, 2015 3:25 PM in response to edjferg70by Henry Cline1,Mine stopper after a certain point as well. For me the biggest issue is that i had to increase my data at ATT and it cost me money to have this issue go on.
I cant expect Apple to pay my bills, but I also know that most issues are on the user end, and Apple has incredible customer support, all you have to do is call.

Dec 27, 2015 3:03 AM in response to tysonrbby dreadmann,I had exactly the same problem. Yesterday, I started to receive notifications that the phone storage was full, and I noticed that the phone was warmer than normal. Then, I saw that the the music app was trying to download everything from Match (around 17K songs) and there was no more space left, but the list of downloads was still there. In addition, my email box gets empty for some time until it downloads everything again and again. I tried to turn off Match, but I couldn't, so the battery was totally drained very quickly. I had to turn the phone off during the night, so it wouldn't drain the battery again.
This morning, I connected the phone to the computer and tried to sync it again. I turned iCloud off in the iOS, and it seems that it stopped downloading the songs, for now. But, my device still almost full and I can't delete "all songs" from it.
My opinion is that Apple is not good enough in the cloud. I didn't like the way the playlists disappeared from my phone after Apple Music, and now with iTunes Match everything got even worse.
There should be a better interface for iTunes Match where you can control its features and what happens to the devices linked to it.
I hope they can find a solution soon, otherwise this product will die.

Dec 27, 2015 6:37 AM in response to dreadmannby edjferg70,I agree. All of this began after an update was released a few days ago for Apple Music. iMatch has had problems from the beginning that should have been solved long ago and they never seem to make any improvements to the service. I can't count all the time I've wasted in the last 2-3 years, trying to make iMatch work properly. I always have to have a backup of my iTunes folder as I'll spend two hours tagging music, and then iMatch will revert all my changes. Now it's getting worse since Apple Music has come along. I wonder if they're not hoping we'll all move over to Apple Music. If there was another cloud music service solution for my carefully ripped and tagged mp4's, and my Apple devices, I would have left iMatch long ago, but Apple Music is not a viable replacement.
