how do I save PDFs and word files to shared folder?
is there a iPad user guide for extreme morons? If there where do I find that?

Where do I find the shared folder?
I'm assuming you're referring to the iCloud drive folder? Normally an iCloud Drive folder isn't visible but with the release of iOS 9 you can make it visible by going to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive > then toggle the Show on Home Screen switch and you'll see the folder.
